- Monitoring Database infrastructure
- Active sessions, Jobs, blocking sessions, Server CPU, Memory & Space, Alert Log, Error Log and SQLAgent.Out Files
- Space on Hard Drives for Database File, Log File, Secondary Data Files, tempDB & backup Locations
- Database space (Used & Unused), check backups, standby databases & replication status using Replication Monitor
- Create users and roles
- Database Backup (Full\Differential\Transactional)
- Execute client provided script to create database objects
- Create a database object (Table, View, Procedure, Package)
- Get DDL for a database object
- Interaction with application owners and vendors as required.
- Drop/Modify users and roles
- Allow/Deny Server roles, Database Mapping
- Add Secondary Datafile/Log File if Need arises
- Reorganize tables, rebuild indexes, reclaim space, Create & Maintain Partitioned tables & indexes
- Identify Long Running Queries and Sessions using high amount of resources
- Identify and terminate locked\Deadlock Sessions / Kill sessions.
- Restore Database (Recovered\Not Recovered\Standby)
- Detach/ Attach Database and drop /Modify a database object
- Creation of Linked Server
- Tuning of DB performance
- Check for block corruption and DB integrity
