- As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our cloud-based systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure. Your expertise will be critical in designing and implementing robust security measures to protect sensitive data, detect and respond to security threats, and maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security solutions for cloud environments on Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend remediation actions.
- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices.
- Implement and manage security controls, access management, and identity and access management (IAM) solutions, VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) etc.
- Monitor cloud environments for security incidents, conduct investigations, and lead incident response efforts.
- Harden cloud infrastructure by configuring security groups, network segmentation, and encryption mechanisms.
- Provide guidance to development and operations teams on secure coding practices and configuration management.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security practices into the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends, vulnerabilities, and tools, and apply this knowledge to enhance our security posture.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in cloud security with a focus on Azure, AWS or GCP.
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, concepts, and best practices.
- Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or SOC 2.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash / Python) for automation of security tasks.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA), Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
- Have understanding of Cloud Governance, Regulatory and Compliances standards like CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
