WebMagic Informatica (“WebMagic”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates an online learning platform offering courses, live instructor-led classrooms, events, learning paths, career tracks, certifications, a blog, community features, and a jobs board (together, the “Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information— name, email address, and phone number. Phone number is mandatory for students before they can browse or enroll, and is used for enrollment confirmations, classroom scheduling updates, and support.
  • Sign-in data— if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
  • Enrollment and usage data— courses and classrooms you enroll in, lesson and quiz progress, certificates earned, ratings/reviews you leave, bookmarks, achievements, and leaderboard activity.
  • Payment information— course, classroom, and subscription payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank account details on our servers — we retain only the transaction ID, amount, and status needed for order records and support.
  • Job board and profile data— if you choose to build a candidate profile or apply to a job listing, we collect the details you voluntarily provide (resume, skills, experience).
  • Communications— messages you send us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp, and community posts you make.
  • Technical data— IP address, browser/device type, and pages visited, collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account, and verify your identity.
  • To process enrollments, subscriptions, and payments, and to send receipts.
  • To deliver course content, track progress, and issue completion certificates.
  • To communicate with you about classroom schedules, live session reminders, updates to courses you're enrolled in, and support requests.
  • To operate community, leaderboard, and jobs board features you choose to use.
  • To send newsletters or promotional updates, where you have opted in.
  • To maintain the security of the Platform and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • To improve our courses, content, and user experience.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Razorpay, to process payments and recurring subscription billing.
  • Google, to authenticate you if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Instructorsof a classroom or course you're enrolled in, to the extent needed to run that classroom (e.g. your name and progress).
  • Hiring or financing partners, only if you actively apply through our jobs board or a financing option and consent to sharing your details with that specific partner.
  • Service providers who help us host and operate the Platform, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Law enforcement or regulators, where required by law.

4. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some Platform features (such as staying logged in).

5. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and enrollment data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. You may request deletion as described below.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. Note that we may retain limited records (e.g. payment history) where required for legal or accounting purposes even after a deletion request.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is intended for learners aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Platform may link to third-party sites (e.g. tool/certification providers, hiring partners, community links). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
